  • Full terms of QPR Kit Sponsorship Deal

    Apologies if you have already seen this...

    It's not actually a bad deal for Asia when you consider its 500k for 2 years with a premiership team and how they are allowed to market it..

    AirAsia announced today that the formal two years away shirt sponsorship agreement worth £500,000 will be signed by 30 September between AirAsia and QPR Holdings Ltd, the parent company of QPR.

    The low cost air carrier said that under the terms of the agreement it would:
    • carry the designation “Official Partner of QPR” for advertising and promotional purposes;
    • the rights to advertise at the QPR Loftus Road Stadium on match days;
    • home and away game tickets and hospitality benefits;
    • and access rights, including to QPR Loftus Road stadium and training ground for promotional purposes, squad photo shoot sessions and signed QPR merchandise.

    AirAsia said of the deal that it included brand elevation, consumer engagement, brand loyalty, branding rights and merchandising, and added public relations exposure.

    To be fair, as it's the same person that owns both businesses, all that says is Tony has given QPR half a mill to do stuff that he could have had for free anyway if he had so chosen.

      It doesn't work like that. AirAsia is a limited company with shareholders. Tony Fernandes can't dip into it like his personal piggybank.

        nigel not how it works
        Fernandes does not majority own AirAsia and QPR has a board too.
        Also Malaysia Airlines is not owned by him either...
