OK I'm confused - I thought you had to be a SKY subscriber.

Question, can i still watch the game if I have:-

1) Freeview only

2) A Sky Box but am no longer a subscriber - in that I simply use it for the freeview channels (Free Sat From Sky - FSFS).

If you don't suscribe to sky sports anymore, then you WILL be able to watch it this weekend, so yeah if u have freesat from sky u will be able to

Result! I only have a basic subs package with no movies/sports but for this w/end when we're on I can get the sports channels free.

If anyone's unclear about the offer it's just a case that the Sky Sports channels will be unencrypted this weekend for Sky subscribers ie you will need to be a subsriber to at least their basic £20ish package (like me).

I wonder if I'll get it, only have freeway but skysports is in my channels list, currently scrambled!

One thing I've remembered.... if you "Sky+" it to watch later the recording is only viewable during the Free Weekend. You'll be ok to watch it on Sunday night but if you try and watch it from Monday onwards it'll be the encryped blue screen you'll see.

I have BT Vision and have enquired about it so that i can record it as i'll be at the game anyway, and was told even though BT customers can get Sky, it is predominantly freeview therefore no i can't get it free.
It's ok for Virgin, Talk Talk and a couple others apparently though.

I have a skybox but just for freeview but the sports channels are still unavailable to me! What a swiz! I was really convinced I could watch the game on Sunday and I'm rightly p'd off now. Grrr!
