Free membership?????

Yep, got the same e-mail so will be getting my membership pack sooner rather than later, hopefully. Still paid over 10 pounds for it, transaction+postage, so it is not exactly a free ride.

I'm a season ticket holder so am not bothered by it, and it's certainly a nice gesture from the club.

But I'd be a bit miffed if I was a member who had to fork out 40 notes!

I wonder how many of us actually managed to get the complimentary memberships? could be because the numbers were so low that the club actually took the hit.

"It has come to our attention at the QPR Box Office that an error on our eticketing site enabled a small number of fans over the weekend to purchase a Membership for £0 as opposed to the correct price of £40 for Adults and £25 for Juniors. Following discussions between the Club and our eticketing partner, we are delighted to advise that we will be covering the cost of your Membership internally and you will receive full Membership benefits for the 2011-12 Season including the Membership Pack and access to the Members' Presale for tickets. Your Membership is valid straight away and you should receive your Membership Card within 10 working days and your Membership Pack within 28 working days.

We would like to apologise for any confusion this has caused and look forward to welcoming you to Loftus Road soon

absolutely brilliant from the club! can you imagine this happening under T&C???

and to all u guys saying I am (and the others who managed to get in on this) sponging from the club - i just means that i'll be buying 4 tickets instead of one. 4 people will be travelling up from cornwall to LR instead of one, 4 people buying food, cr@p from the club shop etc etc...

I saw tesco online were selling xbox's for 2.99 once, I bought 20 and they let the transaction go through. I then got a letter saying it was a mistake and they refunded the money.....

Not really sure what my point is....

Mine got cancelled but managed to get my blackburn tickets done before they pulled the plug on it.

Fair play to you, it's their mistake. And I don't blame anyone trying to get a bargain.

To all the whingers on here, my free membership is no longer valid. I'm not surprised really and I'm happy to let the club I love keep my £3.50.
