  • QPR Paid £4.5M For Anton Ferdinand

Club record signing according to the Sky Football First commentator?

Personally would of thought it would of been more in the region of £1.5-2m

Either way he's looking like a top signing.

Other things Sky got wrong watching football first

After the game declaring 'all three scorers getting their first QPR goals' Faurlin has already scored for us.

    And also;

'On Sky Sports News 'Swansea, Norwich & QPR register their first wins of the season' Errrmmmm Everton?!

That probably is an over inflated price but he is still only 26, so his best years should be now and the nxt 4 years. He was bought for 8 million from sunderland so we nearly got him at half price if u think of it like that. Still need another centre back as we r wafer think 4 cover
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

      Fair points there.

Has fitted in well alongside Gabbidon.

He had one year left on his contract, smells like more poor journalism to me tbh.
15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

          I though that Ads.

That's why I added the other f*ck ups sky made yesterday.

Bet it was half that amount. Pretty sure SWP would of been more.

WHAT!!!! Gabbidon is being highlighted as the real weak link playing alongside Ferdinand more like. Every Warnock buy on deadline day has been superb but for me Gabbidon has gone backwards from the opening game. I see him as the weak link in our now solid Premiership side.

Didnt they report on deadline day it was around £1m, as that is the price other so called sources have reported.

Dont believe £4.5m for a player on a year left on his contract, as NW knows if he is to be able to carry on spending TF money he is going to have to showhe get value for money too. If he over spends and TF thinks he is being ripped off then he will change the way its done, and i dont think NW would do this, as he has too much to lose.

Gabbidon has been our best CB in my opinion. Massively impressed with him. I'm happy with Anton so far as well.

Benny i agree Gabbidon has been great this season people that complained and said he was rubbish and a waste of a signing were so wrong.

But for me Ferdinand has been the best CB i have seen were the Hoops for a long long time (better than Carkie the Drunk). So far he has not lost his concenration, comfortable mon the ball and brings so much confidence to the team.

                    Dazzer. .

3 clean sheets in 5, playing solidly & you come out with that tripe?

                    Deary me mate.

Edit; by the way how can he have 'gone backwards from the first game' we lost 4-0 & he scored an own goal!!! Can hardly go any more backwards than that.

Was it a late night mate?

Pains me 2 say but ric roc is spot on. Gabbidon and ferdinand look like a very decent pairing and u can see a real understanding which must of been aided by there days playing at west ham

Well i'll be honest, I have not missed this site.

QPRReport posters have been very respectful 2 me.

This whole infraction situation has taken it out of me and I think less time on here and more time on report certainly won't do me any harm. They also respect a poster with an experienced footballing background.

Gabbidons been superb. Yeah hes made a few mistakes but who's perfect. Him and AF play very well together. How times have changed since CB pairing of Santos and Palmer.
