Seems its not so easy to score against us with 2 clean sheets out of 4 with a side that has just got together

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

perhaps but look at the number of goals scored so far by some of the top clubs in the league - ouch. we're yet to face that kind of onslaught!

to me it's simply a case of putting the chances away. we know we will create chances, but each one missed will cost us, as we saw in the newcastle game when we should have won 2 or 3-0, but didn't take our chances. against the bigger teams we will have fewer clearcut chances so it's imperative we bag them when they arise.
          come on you r's!

Not only is it much harder to score in the prem, the longer the game goes on scoreless the more likely we are to be hit by a sucker punch and lose all three points - you only have to look at Wolves last year, they lost 14 points through conceding late goals ( last 5 mins through injury time). You almost need to feel the pain of that to learn the lesson, we must do so asap while we still have a chance.

Must admit, I was thinking during the Newcastle game, we could get caught by a breakaway sucker-punch. Luckily, apart from that Leon Best effort, there was nothing to worry about at all. Won't always be the case.

Tommy didn't seem to think so, but then he's not been given another chance.

Small sample size, we have been unlucky to not get the ball in the back of net in both our last games.
