I've always rated Luke Young. He played very well yesterday. I'm so glad he is an R now.

Fair play. Wasn't sure if the league cup match counted....

Luke Young was fantastic last night. Has anyone called a taxi for Bradley Orr?

Think Young will be become a fans favourite, had a very good game. Think all the newbies
seemed to do well, hopefully the performances will get better as they get to know each other better. If I was a neutral,I wouldn't have thought there were 5 players making their
          debuts!!
I came here to chew gum and kick ass,and I'm all outta gum!

Not only the fact that we had 5 new players, but more risky was the fact we had 3 out of a back 4 on their debuts. It's such a key area to have an understanding as a group and we still kept a clean sheet. That says very good things about them all.

I think it helped that Gabbidon and Ferdinand were a partnership at West Ham and Young is classy and experienced. We looked a little vunerable down the left defensively but overall they did very well

Said it all along, Orr is poor and doesn't deserve anyone to pay for a taxi for him. I won't shed a tear if he never wears an R shirt again. Sorry just my opinion.

Less the four or so months of Walker last season Young looked the best right back we have had since Bardsley

Bit harsh. Not the most gifted player ever to grace the hoops and was badly overshadowed by Walker but still played 20 odd games in one of our best seasons in over 15 years. Remember we were all delighted when he signed. We have moved up a notch now but no reason to denigrate some of the players who have been left behind - don't lose sight of the fact they got us into the position we are now in. Fair enough to have a go at the wasters who are clearly in it for the salary - who mentioned Rowan Vine? - but not those who clearly give it their all.
