So they can quite easily sponsor teams without renaming them it seems.

However, I don't see how Fernandes is linked to Red Bull in any way, apart from both being competitors in F1.
Red Bull Sauber was the registered name

Again, wrong. They were registered as Sauber Petronas. Red Bull weren't the title sponsor. It might have been an idea to have checked before trying to create a pedantic straw man argument regarding title sponsors and registrations. So as I say, Sauber is a perfect example of Red Bull not renaming a team but just sponsoring.

Anyway, Karun Chandhok just confirmed on Five Live that he, Heikki Kovalinen and Mark Webber are all attending on Mondayu.

All F1 teams normally have title sponsors by the way, Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes etc. The clue is in the name 'title sponsor'.

To be pedantic, 1995 - 2001 F1 season they were Red Bull Sauber Petronas.
