having barton there is a good choice as it offers us a lot in both defensive and going forward. we dont want barton sitting infront of the back four. he can do that but if we limit him then its limiting the team. SWP and taarabt will give any fullbacks in this league something to think about. not to mention traore's pace going forward.

if we throw in smith or buz for derry and drop barton back we will miss that bite and engine in the dead centre of the team. cant see smith or buz winning many balls compared to barton.

Thats where i have put him, a free role centre midfield, cos he has good defencive qualities and can score when going forward.
