leading goalscores this season

im thinking that we will have a whole lot of scorers but no twenty goal striker something like this.....

derry...........3.......something like this does everyone agree or does anybody think we could have a twenty goal striker

IMO we are going to need approx 50 goals next year, and I think it'll be something like this:

IMO, DJ is a better goal scorer than Bothroyd, but I can see Bothroy playing the lone striker role in our system alot more due to his ability to hold the ball up and lay off for Barton, Adel and SWP.

I love your optimism, but i think you need to bear in Mind that Derry failed to score for us in the CCC, and Faurlin only has about 2 goals for us IIRC... so the chances of them getting 3 and 4 respectively in the prem are very little.

I think Bothroyd will get loads of service and will top the list. Maybe:

Adel 10 - Depends who's on pens (JB may have wanted them in his contract)
SWP 9
DJ 9 depending on games
Buz 7 if played regularly in the central attacking role and allowed to take FK's
Puncheon 4 maybe more if playe regularly
Barton 4
Smith 3
HH 2 more if gets games
Ferdinand 1
Traore 1 Overlapping and getting forward

Yeah, for me definitely, and i think it's healthier for the team as there's no focal point type player everyone looks for. Also with teams that have a 20+ goal machine, often there's very little from anyone else, and if that player gets injured there's suddenly problems.

I see us playing a free flowing game ala Man Utd in the mid 90's, pacy wingers and lots of goals around the front players without anyone hitting 20.

HH due to lack of matches and Faurlin, i can agree definitely possible, but Bothroyd.... he'll lead our attack most games you would imagine, and you honestly think he won;t score all season?

He's only been fit one game (Bolton) and had the ball not hit the defender's head with the keeper beaten, he'd have scored in the first 10 mins of the season.
