Earlier on this evening I watched Beckford goals on youtube, the boy looks fantastic has an eye for the goal, two great feet, pace and power......

I was thinking if we get him.... say £2 - £3m.... then we could well be in the top 2 come April!

signing this unknown striker who doesnt have a good CV, has to be a greater risk than signing a proven goal scorer who has done it in english footballer.

Lita = A bad attitude.

Seriously though whoever we will sign will be a risk even those who are championship players as they may not all fit in with the team.

Again wait till you have seen the player play then make your decision.

It's all summed up in the Italian press bit nearer the top of this thread. It said something along the lines of his old club going bust! That means we got him for peanuts. You all know what happens when you pay peanuts now don't we........

One goal every two games in a relegated team in the italian equivalent of the championship isn't too shabby. So what if we got him for free? That's good business.

However agree I don't think that's sufficient track record 2 lead our attack and if dexter goes a more established championship striker is a must to stop another season fizzling out before it begins

If we don't sell our top striker, than any additions are welcome. Would be worried if we think that we can get promoted, by selling someone like Dex and not replacing him with a high profiled name striker.

End of the day, people forget transfer window closes end of August and I'm sure you get in loans after that date, so why worry?
