  • Refunds on Season Tickets

Any ideas when we are to hear how much and how these refunds we are supposed to be getting are gonna be sorted?
I know they've had a lot on their mind re transfers etc but we were told that they would be writing to each of us individually and as far as I know no ones heard anything yet, also I could really do with the money at the mo.
    Queens Park Rangers
    NPower Champions 2010/2011

PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)

I haven't heard a thing but the mechanics of it may be a problem IMHO. For those who paid outright, the refund whether by voucher or cash is straightforward.

However for those who entered into a credit agreement whether the interest free or the 10 mth option it's going to be more difficult for those who simply want the cash as the agreement may need to be amended but it'll be nice to get a fiver back as it's the wedding anniversary and her indoors birthday coming up.

Two weeks ago I wrote a personal letter, marked PRIVATE & CONFIDENTIAL,to TF and AB,(before the announcement of refunds) welcoming them on board and wishing them every success for the future. I went on to mention the 60 years of support I and my family have given the club and how shabbily the supporters had been treated by BE and FB over the past 4 years and how I've had to move from my cherished seats of 45 years in SA Rd to offset the extortionate ST increases ( £284 to £3,525 in what is now the W12 club and most recently £399 to £699 as a senior).I'm now in Ellerslie Rd and may have been able to stay in Platinum in SA Rd had the increases been less severe.

As TF and AB seem more "hands on" and more "communicative"(using TF's own words),I had hoped to receive some form of acknowlegement to my letter.Only time will tell I suppose.

A very valid point mate, it's not just about money back in the pocket but also long standing fans having to change category of seats and in your case stands. The new owners can only do as much as they can to improve matters but the scars left by T and C will continue to be present for some time to come.
The gesture of the club to refund was admirable and fantastic but how it will materially come into existence with be interesting.

Hope the club acknowledge your letter and act such as giving you priority for any st that come up near your old seat.

I was slightly lucky as gold wasn't as shafted as platinum but fully understand where your coming from.

Very good post, a lot of people overlooked the fact that people had to move stands , it's not just a case of moving it's a case o moving away from people you chat with for years and years and effectively starting again, keep us posted if you get a response
80s am sure they said things would be resolved before the newcastle game

I considered myself very privileged to have acquired 2 ST's (one for me and one for my dad) the very day the SA Rd stand opened about 45 years ago.I was invited up to the stand to choose my seats.I selected seats 117 and 118 row K Block D,10 rows from the front (away from windy rain) and right on the centre line behind the Directors box.A perfect location. When I lost my dad in 1973,I took my daughter.Later, she married and gave her seat up to her husband,my son-in-law.As a result of increases over the years he relinquished his seat and I started to take his son,my grandson. At first, his seat was free of charge, but then went up to £70.No probs until Tango and Cash turned up and increased the junior seat to £449.Unfortunately he no longer goes.As I mentioned before,my cherished seat became part of the Briatore and Ecclestone revolution and became one of around 300 seats now known as the W12 Club and with it a price increase to £3,525 from £284,for a bowl of pasta and a match programme. Therefore I was forced to move to Platinum in SA Rd. This season,my seat went up by 75% from £399 to £699 for a senior.Hence I had to move to Gold in Ellerslie Rd.
I know I was very fortunate in having those original seats in Block D,but boy do I miss those days and as TBLOCK observed, all the long term friends and acquaintences that I met over 40 odd years, never to be enjoyed again as the seats will have gone to perhaps a new generation of R's supporters, which I suppose is not a bad thing giving them the opportunity to enjoy the unparalled view I had all those years and to make new acquaintences.Needless to say,I'm gutted, but heyho, we've got a new team and hopefully the success that goes with it.

I really feel for you mate, I would be so much more bitter than you are. Fair play and up the R's!

Got a letter in the post today with a £5 voucher from the club in relation to the implementation of reducing match day tickets.
I had purchased a ticket for a friend using my super hoop facility for the Newcastle game prior to going on general sale and during the period when the club was controlled by the ones we no longer mention.
The voucher is valid until 30 October 2011 and I have 3 options
                        A) exchange for cash at box office
                        B) use to purchase tickets at box office
                        C) use to purchase at club store
If not used by the said date, the money goes to QPR in the community.
I would guess season ticket refunds will take a similar form.
Thanks Tony Fernandes you should run for Prime Minister.
I had played works football and had twisted my ankle and was lying on the sofa feeling sorry for myself and was going to bed when I saw the envelope, didn't initially open it fearing it was a dreaded bill but it felt peaceful and out popped the voucher, well well happy, good night everyone especially Joey and Adel and Tony and Amit and his father in law and Paddy and Mr Derry and Sir Neil and the rest of the team, squad, back room staff and front counter staff and fans and local publicans

Does it bother anyone you can't pursue a tickets at the lower loft area of the stadium, the system wont let you purchase unless you have a junior. It daft and the atmosphere at the lower loft would be much better if it wasn't for the kids sitting there!

I found this abit baffling when purchasing my Newcastle tickets and have had to get a ticket in block X now right next to the Geordies!
