Maybe you should direct your post towards Pete as far as I'm aware The Godfather has never claimed to be ITK or posted any rumours to suggest as such.

Not going to hijack the thread, but if you can show me some of The Godfather's previous posts telling people that various of Pete's posts were "designed to increase visitors to his website. He's just guessing", then I'll apologise for my allegations of crass hypocrisy. As I understand it's the same hold up as Barton both him and swp are only earning 30k a week with large signing on fees as there are players in our squad who have contracts allowing them to match the highest earners at the club.

There cannot be a wage cap - UEFA don't pay the players. It would need all the clubs in Europe to agree something like that.

Having said that - I don't think it is healthy for any club to go crazy with wages - especially if it means someone earns 4x that of their team mates.

Sorry i should have been more specific, FIFA and UEFA can bring in rules that states your club can only spend 64% of its revenue on wages, otherwise there will be punishments.

Paying big siging on fees and then allowing the club to reduce the weekly wage bill below this figure gets around this rule, as the signing on fees will not be classed as wages.

It makes perfect sense tbh. If others can match highest earners you might as well do what QPR are doing with high signing on fees etc
