Although this could be taken to be going against what I posted on an earlier thread regarding having expectations too high... Im not sure Macheda is that good a player tbh.

No doubt eh showed great potential for Utd, especially that goal against Villa, but last year he went on loan to Sampdoria, played 14 league games and failed to score a goal. And, IMO, the Seria A is alot easier than the PL.

Ignoring the fact hes come form Man Utd and just concentrating on his individual ability, I dont think he is a better player than either Bothroyd nor DJ. We need a big squad though I suppose and he is obviously better than Dave so wouldnt say no to him and, IF he was to come, would have an open mind and cheer him like any other Ranger (except Vine, I dont cheer that pr1ck )

Forget him, go for sturridge who must be out of the running at Chelsea. Can't see them loaning Lakuka out after splashing big money on him, which must leave Sturridge surplus behind Torres, Drogba, Anelka, Lakuka.....
