Last week it was likely that he would come. His rep is my oldest friend. He gives me a lot of info and knows I won't spread the rumors. None of the players he deals with are anything remotely on our scale so I don't gossip. When he said it was likely there was no need to say anything as that is what was being reported on the messageboards. I know we offered £40k a week, £10k more than anyone else. We are the only club he is speaking to but as of last week he still thought he had a furure at Man City. Today when I asked my mate he said a deal was unlikely. I asked him why and he said complicated. The only reason I have stated anything is because there is a lot of false hope going around so I thought I should share what I know to be factual. That's all.

So previously u mentioned nothing about wages but then after moon posted at 6:44 in a different thread stating weve offered him 30k - half hour later you decide to post your version of wages etc. Also I really can't see anyone else offering him 30k a week and a huge signing because money is tight for the majority of clubs. Because you are clearly itk - could u tell me what clubs, thanks.

So, here we are on a site where the few ITK (who unfortunately tended to get carried away and got a few things horribly wrong) have been driven into hiding or twitter by the flak thrown at them on this site.
Now we have a guy who genuinely seems to have inside info but ( and probably because its news we dont want to hear) is treated to the usual derision by fellow supporters.
Of course you guys are right , how can a relatively new poster (who if you read his few posts is obviously a real supporter) know anything!!

nothing personal against edgware or yourself, its just that 99% of new posters who have inside info turn out to be wind up merchants who actually know sod all. not saying you or edgware fit that category, just wont believe any new poster who has inside info unless they are proven right.

OK. My mate just called me. This now looks like it is going ahead. The sticking point has been that Man City are refusing to give SWP the pay off he is entitled to. We are offering a 4 year deal (didn't realise he only 29). Man City are sticking to their guns and he has been told he would be very foolish to turn us down as he will not get another offer of a 4 year deal. He feels it is a matter of principles and feels shafted by Man City. Anyway, the plans are in place for a medical to go ahead tomorrow as soon as he agrees to waive the fee from man city.
