How many players do we need?

I don't think we are to far off tbh. There's definately been positives from the performances. I think we need 3-4 more. A cb for me is a must, don't care who is infront of the defence. If we dont get a decent centre half we will struggle.

A centre back without doubt, needs to be priority. Then a winger (swp) and, IMO, we have a very very strong side in comparison to the other members of our "mini league" down the bottom (ie Swansea, Norwich, Wigan, Blackburn, Newcastle). Any other signings would be a bonus, but either Onouha or Dann plus SWP (added to the imminent announcement of Traore) would be fine by me, giving us a side of:

        Kenny
        Young Gabbidon Onouha/Dann Traore
        Derry Barton
        SWP Adel DJ
        Bothroyd

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I don't think people respect the likes of Newcastle, Wigan and Blackburn enough.

            Agreed.

The PL is a huge jump in class, even the bottom sides, like those youve mentioned, are no mugs (as Wigan proved Saturday, albeit against a depleted QPR side).

The fact we are bringing names in doesnt mean we are instantly going to beat these sides, Newcastle will still be a very tough game. It just gives us alot better chance of survival than we had before. At the time (before takeover) I was 1 of the "happy clappers" saying we will survive, but looking back at that side we had and the way Bolton tore us a new a**ehole, and the result vs Wigan, I dont think we would have stood a chance tbh! Alot more positive now we have some established PL signings but, as weve said, it is going to be a long hard season for us!

              Traore
Hopefully SWP (another winger with pace if not)
CB - Dann seems feasible, but £5m?? maybe Onuha
              Striker - What's Etoo's latest contract..?

Would be over the moon if we sign Dann, unreal signing if it happens. But the board have surprised us with the signing of barton already so who knows?

CB, LB, Winger, forward Mellow mate should do the trick.
