Good interview, comes across incredibly rational and surprisingly conversant. Wow what a feel good factor the club has at the moment

I reckon Sunderland was one of the clubs that were after him the way he said I would have been lynched if I had gone there. Can't wait for the Newcastle game Loftus road is going to be rocking like the old days.

Not seen the guy interviewed before, comes across as rational, intelligent and honest....never thought I'd say that about Joey Barton. I'm impressed.

This is a key acquisition for lots of reasons - it shows Tony Fernandes is going to back up what he's saying, it makes it easier to sign other quality players and it fills everyone with optimism - especially given what Joey is saying about why he joined.

With the players coming in, the cut in ticket prices and the mood of optimism around the club, I think were going to see some great performances to full houses. Can't wait for 12th September.

Nice to hear a footballer not just trotting out a load of cliches. Seems an honest guy and, like he alluded to, it would appear he's left Toon for being a bit too honest.

Most importantly, he's never struck me as the sort who would just pick up the paycheck without giving the effort. He appears to be a fan who just happens to be good at football. Seeing one of his Tweets earlier, I did wonder if one facor to his joining us was the ticket price reduction - he mentions it to TF and seemed impressed.
