To be fair, he could've finalised the details from a personal point of view earlier and thh "needing time and space to think" tweet could've related to other headaches he now has, re personal relocation etc, where to settle.

Also don't forget the club wouldn't be able to announce anything until they finalise paperwork with Newcastle as he is after all registered and under contract with them, so it could take some time to dot I's and cross T's as it were.....
