Source was the one who was bang on re DJ when everyone was wondering. Lets wait and see.

but there was video of him on SSN earlier leaving the training ground having just done the second (and final) part of the medical (presumably conducted by your source) where he said he was going to think about it now and the medical was purely procedural in case he decided to sign.

He certainly didn't say anything that would have indicated he had signed.

Has he rung your source since and thanked him for the cough and drop earlier and because he had nice warm hands he wanted him to be the first to know he had subsequently signed?
