    Another sleepless night for Warnock!

Up till 1.00 last night working on Barton deal, and probably expected him to sign today,BUT like everything at QPR,its rarely plain sailing and can go horribly wrong, for the record i dont think Barton will join us.Neil obviously really wants him(so do i by the way) and apparently is in talks with SWP as well, who would be a great signing and he needs a left back in by tomorrow(to play on sat)so poor old Neil aint going to get much sleep tonight either!

Barton really doesn't want to leave Newcastle, and everyone knows that. Just goes to show how very hard it will be to bring in the quality of player thats needed. These boys are used to top quality training facilities, can you imagine coming from Newcastle or Man City or Liverpool to QPR? Its a big culture shock and it will take one of them to sign to bring in a few, i personally dont think Barton will join.

Do you think if another marquee signing was announced first he would change his mind? Perhaps Neil should focus on SWP who apparently WANTS to come back to London - get him in the others may follow. Bit of a catch 22 isn't it!

I think it might help, but getting SWP here will be just as hard we are not a big club, we cant compete at the moment with the likes of Bolton or Fulham for signatures. not just for the club but for the facilities as well , footballers are spoilt now a days.

All true mate - but it appears we can now at least compete financially - which seems to be a big factor for premier league types

Unfortunately mate, all these players are not just wanted by one club, and that is where we will struggle being a new and small club for the prem league.

Why do you think its just at QPR?
Its par for the course for these things.
Look at the Fabregas and Nasri situations as an example - took ages.
              And many others of course.

taking the glass half full approach, warno knows how to talk the talk - he managed to get bothroyd and DJ in and there were several other interested parties at that time as well.

there will always be a pack chasing the better players but i'd rather we're in the mix than not!

                coyrs!

Your right, but to be fair we are talking a step up in calibre, these players don't usually think of QPR in there bubble, and it will take one to bring two imo.
