    Joey Barton QPR Captain

    Is the whispers...

Personally think this would be a masterstroke by NW if of course we conclude this deal today.

Has Barton ever been a skipper? I think the responsibility would do him wonders.

Also where would it leave Adel & his gargantuan ego should this materialise?

Unfortunately for Adel he is gonna need to suck it up!

He has hardly set the world alight in the first 3 games this season. Also he has hardly been a model captain through the summer. The best thing Adel can do right now is concentrate on finding his form in the Premier League and worry about club captaincy and big money moves to Champions League sides at a later date!

I really hope not but could this mean Adel could be on his way out?

It was made very clear to Adel that if he didn't get fit and sort his head out within the first three games then he was off for a stint in the stiffs and on the bench at best..... and that is probably what is happening.

Hope not personally but on the flip side this might do him good. Having a top top player around him plus let someone else have the burden of captaincy in the Premiership where we will have more than our fair share of bad days no doubt.

I think it'll do more harm than good. Adel will throw his toys out the pram and it's not really worth it.

Joey Barton is a leader, what difference does wearing an armband and calling heads make?! Leave it with Adel. Everyone knows Derry was our skipper last season, not Adel.

                Adel gets what Adel wants.

And if he wants to remain unfit and in a stroppy mood, he can sit on our bench, and end up with his dream move to PSG's bench next week, or january.

If he wants to prove to everyone that he's the real deal, and get himself physically & mentally right.. he can be a star.

I hope he wants the latter.

Couldtn agree more Sullivan. Only, tbh, i dont think Adel sees it that way, his attitude absolutley stinks and I get the impression (maybe wrongly so) that he thinks "sod this i deserve a bigger club" and he is just moping around until he gets bought.

My brother was a trialist a few years ago after getting released by Bournemouth - and he still knows a few of the guys/staff there. Also, a good family friend is a bit of a mover and shaker at Palarse - and it's a small world in football.

Then again. It's not exactly rocket science is it?

Barton was captain at times at Newcastle? sure I have seen him wear the armband.

As someone said above it will do more harm then good, players like Barton & Derry dont need a armband to make them lead. Players like Adel need to feel special and loved, look at the likes of Totti, Ronaldinho, Di Natale last night, none of them are leaders, just got the armband so they feel like top dogs.

yeah me too my cousins cousins brother has one friend who had a brothers cousin working there at QPR they told us everything happening in QPR since even cleaners at QPR will say everything what happend inside QPR pfffffffffff
                        get real ffffffffffffssssssssss
there is no barton at the end and you will find yourself that the only hope to survive is ADEL and adels assists and goals. without him , even if you bring all EPL missionary players and EPL journeymen to QPR they will not give a fffk because if they come they will come just for the money and milking the new cow as they did for their previous team.
be thankful that you have ADEL playing in QPR without him you would be already travelling to scuunthrope next weekend instead of wigan

I dnt understand these some mugs from where they came and why werent you here posting last year in this forum? you just appeared here when we are EPL team , glory seekers.

Barton is/was Newcastle's captain after Nolan left.
