Wouldnt be a bad signing IMO, established PL defender with England caps and bags on experience. Not young by any means (really no pun intended there!) but would most certainy be a better more solid option than Orr.

Although we could possibly get a better option, I'd be quite happy with Young.

Ridgewell is not a good centre half and going by Brum message boards they wouldn't be bothered if he left as he hasn't performed this season. We need to forget that he is Rangers.

Young would be a decent stop gap. Good experience at this level but not very quick.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

All about opinions mate, IMO, ridgewell is a very good centre half, a lot lot better than Hall thats for sure.
Messageboards are full of varying opinions, another sides fans could come on here and think that Connolley is an absolute donkey due to what some people say, whereas IMO, he is not at all. You do get players that seem to under-perform when they sense they may be leaving a club for 1 reason or another, maybe Ridgewell is 1 of those?
Tbh i didnt even know he was Rangers until a few days ago, I was hoping we would sing him purely on what I have seen of him in the past.

Agreed Young isnt too quick, but thats not essential, especially IF we manage to sign Onouha (would be a great signing) as he is very fast and would be able to cover Young should the need be.

Anyways, as I say, its all just rumours at the moment eh, for time being we have Orr and Hill to support

I'm leaving work now, but I need to do a few things 1st, so I guess I'll be around from 5-ish.

People are gettnig carried away saying about 1 big name coming in (Crouch, Cole, Parker) but, IMO, Onouha would be a better signing for us than all of those.

OK, maybe Parker would be a great signing, but i dont think we necessarily need Crouchy nor Cole. Yes, they are quality players and im not trying to say Onouha is a better individual player than them, nor am I saying that theyre not better than what we have, but looking at our side and what we need, Onouha comes way above Crouchy or Cole on my wishlist. Not to mention the fact he is young and quick too.

IF we can pick him up for £4mill (figure ive heard banded around) I think this would be a bargain.

I have some very good friends who follow Birmingham home and away and they say Ridgewell struggled at centre half but was moved to left back where he was a revelation. They would be very sorry to see him go but also said that he hasn't performed this season as it appears clear that he wants to move. He has also had some personal issues regarding break up of long term relationship and wants a move away from the midlands. I for one would be pleased to see him in W12
