I hope it's not all hot air and posturing in a way to grab some extra publicity...

Surely they know that £4M will not get their man and will obviously alert others to outbid us.. be fab to see them match the asking price and really put the cat amongst the pigeons in respect of Parker having to actually decide whether he wants to join us... rather than us not going that extra mile and being outbid and then saying ah well we tried and end up with A.N.Other nowhere near as good....

Yes they know, like we all do, but they are testing the water and going in low, expecting to be told to up the bid... ie giving themselves room to manouver.

He won't come here anywya, but at least it has sent a sign of intent to other potential signigns that we mean business and it may pursuade some good fringe players to join.

Looks like Wet Spam think it's a cheap publicity stunt.... I hope we do go in with an improved offer but I somehow don't see us stumping up the dough that is required.. Hope am proved wrong....
