    taraabts terrible corners/crosses........

i cant for the life of me know why he takes em all...........surely he'd be better off loitering outside the box waiting for anything that comes his way to strike????

Always thought this. Its strange how we can strike a ball so well from open play yet his set piece deliverys are absolute pony most of the time!
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

thats unfortunately a weakness from warnock imo , he sees it like we all do yet he doesnt stop him, he started last year with great delivery but from about xmas onwards was poor over hit or underhit most of the time
          warnock needs to sort it

Totally agree, he's got no better, which you think with practice would have changed. We need someone like Bullard to take free kicks, just hope we get him.

The way forward for me is to play Buzz in the middle of the three and Taarabt on the left instead of smith, that way we are a bit more solid through the middle and Buzz can take the set pieces (corners and free kicks) as he is a far better set piece taker than anyone else at the club currently.

the idea of adel covering our left back fills me with dread

He might improve if he actually trained a little bit...

his delivery from out wide can be world class and better than anyone else can do. Is odd that his corners are mostly crap though.

Think I've read that we didn't score one goal from a free-kick last season. That should tell us everything. Sure Sirpie can confirm/deny...?

I can definitely remember adel smacking one against the bar and then smith (I think) ramming in the rebound

after i made my earlier comment was raking my brain thinking of when any free kicks led to any goals, i can remember early on scoring from good delivery corners from adel but they dried up by xmas

pompey and ipswich at home. Pretty certain we scored from corners against them.
