    embarrassing email from the club

Did anyone else get a really embarrassing email from the club?

Mine had a picture of DJ Campbell followed by a speech bubble with the following.

Dj is delighted to be at the club and would love Joe blogs (my name), to get down to the club and support it and be a fellow fan just like him.

1 from warnock saying , neil thought Joe blogs support was superb last season and it will be a tough game against bolton so the players need joe blogs to be there. etc etc had 1 with Derry and others.

Seriously they must be desperate to sell tickets for this game. How cheesey can you get?

If it wasn't 50 quid and I wasn't being ripped off then I would of been there. I would HAVE paid 40 but out of principle i'm not paying 50 quid for 90mins action.

This message won't go down well, and many will call me a non supporter but when you are morgaged up to your eyeballs you have to make priorities.

I just couldn't believe how pathetic and desperate the email was.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Turn up prices are very expensive and that is my major gripe with the club. However season ticket prices are ok, so got mine straight away.
I don't understand the principal stuff mate. If you can afford it, then pay and go along. It's your team, they're in the premiership....how long have we been waiting for this?? The only person you're affecting with your principals is you.

Dunno mate, you don't know a good deal when you see one. I mean, you get a personal email from DJ and Warnock addressed specifically to you with your name on it; that's unique, none of the others are exactly like that one!
All you have to do is get down to the ground pay your £50 see the game and then staple your ticket stub to the letter; that's got to be worth a lot of money in years to come, or at least a nice memento for the grandkids.
              .

Yes got the message, my son is an Ipswich supporter and he got something very similar. It's what clubs do I'm affraid, they are just trying to generate some additional revenue.

Unfortunately it is very expensive to watch the team but you can choose which games you want to attend at home or do some away games that are decent value.

I am paying £40 for Saturday and £45 for the Newcastle game. Any top entertainment you have to pay the rate. I recently paid a fortune for a gig at the RAH, far more than the cost of a QPR ticket and that lasted 120 mins.
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

I agree with Weare's 1st post. Found the e-mail very patronising. Do they think I am 12 years old?

How sad is that, the Leeds game got sold out in just a few hours and the first match in the Premier League is still not sold out after days and days. Makes you wonder...
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

So just because you support a football team, means you have to take the total contempt and disrespect given by the owners of the club??

All this unrequited love by these superfans is quite sad to see, one day hopefully they will wake up and see that superfans that bend over and accept anything owners of football clubs do are a massive part of the problem with football today.

eh? Get over yourself. I just want to turn up and support my team. Don't care about the owners. We're a premiership club. If I didn't renew my season ticket and took your "holier than thou" attitude, some other fella would be sitting in my seat tomorrow. As I said earlier, the only people who get impacted by your principles are you! If you can't afford it then that's fair enough. But I can't bloody wait until tomorrow.
