Do we deserve to be favourites for the drop?

You have read the papers and seen the sports channels so you'll know we are predicted to finish either bottom or 2nd bottom,is that a fair prediction,is everyone in the media basing this on the fact we have only spent £1 million or do they feel our squad just ain't up to the premiership?

We will surprise a few, we won't drop down back to the championship.
Opinions are like A******s, everyone has one, but nobody wants to see the other guy's.

Watching the Charity Shield we should be afraid, very afraid. That said, I think we'll stay up if we keep NW and get the same team spirit as last year.

All three promoted clubs are usually favorite for the drop, i agree everyone thinks we will really struggle, pressure off, and i think we'll be ok.

I would say our team is slightly better than Blackpools last year, they nearly stayed up so i am quite hopeful we can finish around 16 -17.

Forget the top teams who will beat us by various margins home and away,we have to gain our points against the poorer teams,of which there are a fair few.

            Swansea,Norwich,Wolves.WBA.Fulham,Villa,Sunderland ,Bolton,Newcastle,Stoke,
Everton and Wigan, we are more than capable of getting results at home against these taems and nicking the odd win and draws away from home.

72 points available against that lot need to pick up at least half i feel from those games.

Tell you one thing, theres a few prem teams that would like Campbell, Bothroyd and Tarbs,as a front three, thats for sure.

I think the tag is fair as we have not invested that much into the team up to now, however with Newcaslte in turmoil and getting rid of there best players, Wigan selling there and not investing either and Blackburn seem to be all over the place I do think we will be ok.

This actuly could be the first season in a while were all 3 promoted clubs stay up

I think we can survive. I suppose we will get a feeling either way by the Bolton game. Will be very interesting to see where we are at. I agree with others that we will surprise a few

Agreed they will be, as not only is it the easiest of starts we could wish for and we could potentialy have 10mpoints or more on the board, a poor start will see confidence drain away and more importnalty NW sacked as we all know Flav wants to move Warnock on.

                            Cant wait for Saturday

Couldn't give a to55 what journalists think. Takes the pressure off us. We need to forget getting points off the top 6 sides.

We need to focus on our league with the other sides. None of them scare me. Our home form is vital. It's going to be full pretty much for every home game. We need to get behind the lads because sides won't fancy coming to us. With Tarabat running at defences and the fans getting behind him we'll do ok. 17th will suit me fine! We need to build each season.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.
