    Marsh slams "idiot QPR owners"...

Hoops legend Marsh slams 'idiot' QPR owners for failing to splash the cash

QPR legend Rodney Marsh has accused owners Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone of treating fans 'like mushrooms' - and said he would have respected manager Neil Warnock if he had quit.

He's just saying what we all think. The owners are not interested in football, only money. It's callous the way the fans have been treated and I hope they get their comeuppance after they have gone.

To go back down again after a 15 year slog into a division that is getting tougher and tougher to get out of without trying to stay up is madness..or complete and utter disdain for football and the role it plays in society.

"Marsh's outspoken comments about keeping supporters in the dark - like mushrooms - are certain to have a huge impact."

I dont think Rodney's comments are in the slightest bit 'outspoken' - he's saying what most people believe.

There has been an increasing volume of criticism of this nature for the board.
Trouble is, they're so rich and thick-skinned, they don't have to listen and don't care.
They have no understanding of what a club means to its fans, same as Winkelman up at MK Dons. (So glad to see AFC and their fans shoving it back in his face. Hope they meet each other soon in the league.)
We are mushrooms.Kept in the dark and fed sh.it on a scale even we haven't experienced before -- that's some going.

They've had a lot of bad publicity lately though, which they will not have been happy about. That is the only thing that can get to them.

Not a great fan of Marsh to be honest but fair play to him for coming out and saying what we all feel.
                    Ecclestone and Briatore are w0nkers

To call the owners "idiots" is a bit rich coming from a footballer. You don't make their money by being stupid. Would also be nice if for once Rodney said something positive about QPR. But he is right that you need to spend £10m to stand a realistic chance of staying up. Still possible we will stay up but it will require another Warno miracle - and sadly even then the board won't give him the credit or the backing.

You don't want him to embarrass the other two, do you?

Now we are in the premier league, those two ****s are going to be even more in the limelight than ever before.
Constant bad publicity, incessant abuse hurled at them and their guests when they are at Loftus Rd will, eventually, take it's toll on them.

Briatore & Ecclestone got away with a mere few column inches of negative publicity when we were in the championship.
There's a much wider audience, and ****-poor journalism that constantly panders to the lowest common denominator, willing to feed that wider audience, now we are big-time.
