who should we be signing then? What should our wages be? 20 to 25k is the max and I totally agree with that.Comment

Oh come on mate. I mean more transfer funds for warnock which without a shadow of a doubt would have allowed him to bring in better players. Puncheon can't even get into the Southampton team.
Neil quoted this "“I thought I’d have a few millions, if I’m honest. I was disappointed but it’s not the end of the world."
Stop trying to defend the club when they haven't backed Warnock. IMO Marsh got it spot on with what he said. The board have treated Warnock terribly. Yes we have got great value for money (DJ & Bothroyd are quality) but when you see both Norwich and Swansea have spent a fair bit of money and we've spent 1.25 million its embarrassing. Imagine what Warnock could have done with a bit of backing.
The fact that we lost out on Naugton (because we wouldn't pay the loan fee) and missed out on Routledge to promotion rivals just shows we have no ambition. Im usually and optimist but people need to take of their rose tinted glasses. Going forward I think we're looking decent but defensively we are going to get ripped to pieces. Now, Then, Forever[CENTER]QPR-Football League CHAMPIONSComment

James (not the 1979 one) is surely spot on. The real worry is the defence, which unless significantly strengthened will be regularly torn apart. We also desperately need a ball-winner in midfield. Derry was great last year but he is getting on and this is the Premiership, and we also need a winger. I've never seen Puncheon play in person (only TV a couple of times) but I'll be surprised if he really is up to the necessary standard. We just need to finish 17th. I'm not expecting miracles with the board we have, but we will need a miracle to stay up as things stand. It won't happen. Marsh is right. I reckon we need 4 quality players still, 5 if you include Murphy. Without them this board of ours will take us down.Comment

If we get Bertrand at left back and play a fit Dyer at right back, that is not going to be the worst defence in the league and with plenty of attacking scope from the wing backs. Plenty in attack now, too. Then the only really worrying gap, as bushkangaroo rightly identifies, is another midfielder to play alongside Alejandro. I would have hoped for Watson or the Spurs cast off signed by Wolves. Now I would hope for Hitzelperger (spelling?), Bullard if he is sacked by Hull or best of all Jenas on a season's loan if Spurs will pay half his wages. This is key now as not convinced Derry has the pace or the distribution skills for the Prem, brilliant tho' he was last season.
Then, I'd be optimistic we would at least give it a really good go to stay up.Comment

Hall - Gabbidon at CB? How many games will they play together? I predict 32 mins for Hall before he breaks down v Bolton and Gabbidon will then be out after 2 games, leaving us with Gorkks aand Shittu with Connolly as back up for the season.
TWO full backs are a complete necessity - Hill will not play half the games he did last season, Dyer will be needed further up the pitch and Orr, although I will never fault his effort is top half of Championship at best.
Last season, the main players for us stayed largely injury free (with the exception of Mackie); this season I fear that niggles will start to appear as an excuse for not having to turn out. We already know the strength of our reserves and will be relying on them for points this season!Comment
