Admittedly a bit of his colour came back when he learned this secret weapon was some young Argie that no one has ever heard of and he then tried to laugh it off, but I think this signing does put down a marker. The only downside I guess is that until now the yadder yadder from Loftus Rd has been how we want to do it the right way and not spend too much money; now when we come looking for a player, the price is going to head north...

Would be nice to know the exact transfer fee.

Well even if he were on 10 grand a week that wd be about £1.5m over three years that wd still mean a £2m transfer fee - which is a hell of a lot more than any of us were expecting. True, might also be conditional on appearances etc etc but still, a hugely positive move.Comment
