Derry - is he good enough for the Premier League?

I'm over the moon with our signings so far - but I have a nagging doubt about Derry. Is he going to be good enough in the Premier League? I really hope I'm wrong but he looked a bit slow in the pre-season stuff I've seen so far.

Him and Clint Hill stand out for me as areas where we need better players. Can see Hill getting a few reds for hauling strikers back in the penalty box.

He wasn't good enough for us in the championship.

He deserves a chance to prove you wrong again.

            Oh, I get it...

Wize one, like size one, as in 'One Size' Fitz Hall.

            It took me a while.

            Clever.

just stick him infront of the back four and he will be fine.

I'd love to abuse you for missing my point, but you've come across so simple that I'd feel like a bully.

in a division where keeping the ball is paramount, he is the best we have. On the neg side tho, he might not be sharp enough, hopefully experience will help.
I'm happy to see him get a go, he deserves it, and see after 4 or 5 games

i think he will do well. lets be honest the role he plays - he plays it well. it doesnt require you to be a great player with the ball. He has great positioning and awareness, he wins the ball and then gives it someone else. I dont see him struggling at all, i think he will be one of our better players again
