Make NO mistake Fernandes is part of a consortium, I looked into him when he was going to buy WHU, he has some v wealthy acquaintences, so may not be a bad thing.
Though why do I not like the idea of a consortium owning us??

I agree and if that consortium also includes F1 mates with Vijay Mallaya etc then sounds a lot more plausable.

Back to the fernandez story, I would be concerned that another f1 mogul was coming in as he will have links with FB and BE and that can never be a good thing, if he wants to buy a club why doesn't he make an offer for West Ham?

If it's a consortium then you're looking at a group of get rich quick(Quick Profitand Run) merchants who were most likely persuaded by some pushy fast talking smooth hyena that this is as good as an arms deal. Those guys are not going to be splashing any cash. Our current owners at least have been around for a while. We may not like them very much but what's coming next will make them look snow white, believe me.

We might not like T&C, and their spending plans and wage structure might not get us Champions league football next season, but at least we know what we are dealing with. I look at the problems teams like Birmingham are having and remember what happened to Pompey and think maybe we're not so badly off after all. You get the feeling that with them at the helm at least we won't end up like Pompey.
