The one thing in our favour is that - so far - no other prem club seems to want him and now West Ham have failed to off-load Carlton Cole they might be out of the hunt. If DJ's agent has any sense he will lower his demands because if he thinks QPR are going to honour their original offer let alone up it I suspect he could be sorely disappointed. That said he might be on the verge of signing for Sunderland for all anyone knows on this board.
