The flight is a little over 2 hours 8 minutes, then a 2 hour Inter City train journey to a place called Maribor.

Its then about 40 miles away, can cab it or get train to another smaller city.

Was going to Graz in Austria, but its 3 times as expensive and means crossing borders and its still about 80 miles away.

I am booking flights for Wednesday morning and coming back on Friday as I have cricket at Lords on Saturday.

No idea but I am looking to go straight there from the airport somehow as the first game is being played there.

Is that what you've told her.... I like the plan though and often pull that one on the other half. Things like 'do you fancy going to Leeds for the weekend (for the Sheffield games)' or 'for a spot of shopping at the Bull Ring'. Works a treat, you get to go football and they can shop till they drop! Just curious to know what attraction you've sold to her to go to Slovenia?
