Neil told to shut up by Bernie and Flavio!!!

Neil Warnock is our coach and we are working closely with him in a professional and confidential manner to try to achieve our aims and objectives.

The coach's job is to coach the squad and identify players he believes will improve the squad. As a Board, we deal with all the negotiations and we have been successful in completing deals for Bothroyd and Dyer so far.

We are aware of some issues that have been raised in the press by the coach, but we have discussed these with him internally and he has agreed to be more reserved in terms of what he discusses in the future.

Yes, that's about as obvious a 'cease and desist' warning as a boss can give.

I agree with T&C - Warnocks comments in the press were out of order!

Professionalism is required by all parties!

But, let's be honest, you get the feeling NW has forced them into a situation where they have had to move to appease him (and us as well).
He needed to speak out to achieve that imho.

Managers who speak out against the boards decisions don't usually last long.Maybe he is looking to be sacked and get his payoff.Probably got the hump over lack of cash for players and is gonna play on it.

The only ones being 'unprofessional' are T&C. Neil is just cleverly and 'professionally' playing the game.

What did he say do you think was "out of order"?

I agree with you Scotty, but on this occassion Warnock had been quiet since May, and that was even after losing some signings as he thought they would still allow him to do "some business". When it came apprent that they were not going to back him and allow signings and were prepared to have the Adel sarga go on and on and disrupt his pre season plans he decided now was the time to play the politics game and IMHO done it very well.

Not only got them to agree to keep Adel but got them to commit to Gabbidon and 2 more potential signings, as without this he knows he has no chance of us staying up, were as now we have a fighting chance.

Master stroke and done without getting sacked too
