We are all down at the moment. The last news on Naughton is just another one in a long list of disappointments this summer. While we pray and hope for a takeover, may I offer a positive issue to think about:
Every year one or two players surprise us by steeping up to a new level, becomming like a new signing. Last year it was Helguson, which was written off by most of us. Even though Derry wasn't a QPR player prior to last season, I think he was another one finding a new level.
Who will be the surprise package in the season of 2011/2012? Here are some candidates:
Hogan Ephraim - on fire against mighty Tavistock
Peter Vaagan Moen - classy player, positive statements by WarnockRob Hulse - used to be good
Matt Connolly - can he work on the poorer part of his game? - he obviously has talent
Bradley Orr - very few think he can handle the Premier League, but are we wrong?
Peter Ramage - much better as centre half than full back
I struggle to point to one, but there will surely be one or two - there always are.
If I should guess: Connolly!
Apart from the two I have highlighted IŽd go for Hulse and Connolly.
Oh,and Ramage as well.
I hope the Gambian will shine,if given a contract offer.
