  • Takeover stories could be true.

Just hold on guys we are nearly there!

The reason no money has been spent is because Benie and tango cant sell the club with debt.
As they own a % of the club and not the whole thing they need to clear up any financial deficit. Mittal is sitting pretty knowing that he holds 30%, he can vito any sale and is forcing their hand.
**** and Flabio have stored up the tv promotion money and will use the Adel cash to clear the debt. Once this has gone they can sell.

Two financial institutions are trying to sell us.

We have got to hold tight as fans, a takeover will happen but not before the transfer deadline, we might have to struggle through to Christmas but then NW will be able to strengthen.

Gulf air pulled the sponsorship because BE promised them a way into F1 and then let them down. They got the major hump and pulled out of our deal.

Flabio not doing a new deal with anyone on sponsorship as he does not want to complicate any takeover. It may put off the new buyer. Just think Flab brings in Adidas and the new buyer is a friend of Nike.

With the greatest respect to the author of the original post this latest one is bullsh1t, like all the rest. What are we up to now 4/5 takeover rumours in the last moth or so. I expect another 4/5 in the next month, also bullsh1t ones.

I'm not sure Mittal can veto any deal, even with his 30%.

                A) of course you can sell with debt
                B) Mittal doesn't have a veto, Bernie or whoever are free to sell shares as they wish.

Mittal can't veto a sale; he can refuse to sell his 30%, but 51% is the magic number; whoever owns that amount controls the club and controls the board.
                  .

Gulf Air were already in F1, they have been the title sponsor of the Bahrain GP since it started, and I think the are the title sponsor of some others now.

and of course Bernie couldn't convince the F1 teams to re-schedule the Bahrain GP for later in the season, so revenge was due.

More likely that Gulf Air pulled the sponsorship because the unrest in Bahrain has been the final nail in their coffin. The company has been running on handouts from the Bahrain government for years!
