Spot on! best centre back we have currently at our club and the only player that hAs played and handled the premier league. His fitness worries me because we will be desperate that he can string a decent amount of games together.

Its a personal opinion of what I've seen over time. He's a pretty assured sturdy defender.

The thought of KG & MC facing the worlds best sends a shudder down my spine. We all saw 2 bounce crumble when dropped when he came on in a game & nearly cost us 2 goals not to mention couldn't cut out a basic cross to let Bellamy send one into the top corner.

He's a confidence player & one I can see turning to mush as soon as we concede against the big boys.

I like MC, decent player with the ball at his feet & a good defender but as I said confidence issues for me. Would love him to prove me wrong I really would.

Gabbidon at one point was quality he is as much worth the risk as Dyer is possibly even less of a risk and he is better when fully fit than any of our defenders.

I rate Connolly but he isn't aggressive enough as a CB. You want to see your CB's assured and attacking the ball in the air with the ball at feet I would not be worried about him but as soon as a Drogba, Tim Cahill or someone good in the air he will be struggling. Gorkss is just far too slow. Connolly would be better as a centre mid in the prem IMO.

Connors isn't much quicker than Gorrks and both turn like they are in cement. Agree though Connors isn't strong enough and is very poor in the air and will get bullied. How many 11 stone mr sheens make a success at playing centre back?

I think you will find that Jeffro was just stating that Hall will be our best centre back that is proven regarding ability to cope in the premier league. Lets just hope he can last longer than 2 games because we r fu*ked without him. Ramage is our no2 at current.
