    Q for the old 'uns

as a kid I in the 70's I nearly always went in the school end where there was a good few rangers (barring games v chelsea, man u etc)

away fans always mainly to the left of the goal but what I can't recall is did we give them a section of seats too & if so where? Don't think we did tbh but might be wrong

not earth shattering stuff I know but just curious

No dont think we did, also when the ground was being redeveloped we had a scenario where we had half the school end lower, row of police and then the away fans. Remember going up the school end a few times and there was a good few Rs up there, even when it was just for away fans.

we did it a few times, though obviously went there a lot when they were redeveloping The Loft for families and Japanese.

Maybe not the 70s, but I was in the School End with the "Not So 'Appy 'Ammers" for the FA Cup game when fans spilled on to the pitch and David Pizanti (I think) scored a screamer in a QPR win...

(Only ticket I could get from a tout was in the Away End...)

was there myself in south africa rd seats..

i doubt if 4,000 west ham fans in away end that day would be aware of solitary silent ranger
