Finally some good news! An England international, and another striker in DJ who looked a very good player last year I thought. Blackpool just had an awful defence

Good things come to those who wait and this is GREAT news. Campbell aswell would make me one happy QPR fan!
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Useless Info Alert: Tony Incenzo said the last current "at the time" England international to sign for QPR was Tony Currie. Don't remember him playing for England afterwards.

Still, here's hoping for a different outcome. If he signs...

if these come off would make our loss of graham cms morrison look like a lucky escape, esp for the money being quoted for them

                  Looking promising....at last.

Would imagine knowing our luck with transfers he'll fail the medical

He'll trip over DJ Campbell on the way to the signing and they'll both be crocked.

If we sign DJ+Bothroyd we've spent £1.25millon on classy signings.

How much did norwich spend on James Vaughan and Morrison?

£2.5million for Vaughan.. and how much on Morrison?

Interesting point. TC was a great hero of mine but agreed don't think he played while for us (tho there was various talk of a recall). Wilkins also came even closer to a recall. Sammy Lee was past it I guess. Ditto Peter Reid. And plse don't mention Mark Hateley. Can't think of any other candidates.

Kenny Sansom, and Trevor Francis were ex England by the time they came to us also. Had a load of caps between them beforehand though 83 and 50+?

Yep thinking about it we've been a resting home for a lot of retired England internationals. This would probably be the first England international on the way up that we have signed pretty well ever - certainly in the modern period (not that I'm putting him in anything like the class of some of the great former internationals who have graced our team).
