I'd rather spend £3m on Jay Bothroyd who is available for free, than spend £6m on Cole. He's really not worth that when you look at his career to date. I don't doubt he has potential. He had a great season the one before last, but one swallow and all that.

Plus, I'm sure he's wanting a silly wage.
