Mick jones was just on - players about to do fitness test, warnock will be talking at about 11:30.

He was asked about bothroyd to which he replied he's not surprised weve been linked, same with Bullard.

He was asked about taarabt and he said he doesn't know where he is but Neil has given him more time off however when asked if he would be here at the start of the season - to which he replied he didn't think he would be.

He was asked why there hasn't been any signings yet. He said it suprises him that he keeps getting this question as there is never much movement until pre season is well under way and went on to say he has never seen Neil warnock work so hard on transfers and he would expect some movement this week and if not very soon after.

Can't remember if there was more, if I think of anything else he said I'll edit.

Once again they said warnock on at 11:30

When you say fitness test you mean our existing players doing a fitness test? If so shame they didnt think of giving one to Ron Hulse before they signed him...

Didn't say anything we didn't know already. But seems as though he IS resigned to getting 2nd choice targets etc. Said he is not resigned to losing taarabt because no one has come up with a realistic offer

He did say 'No signing today' but hopes to have them in by the start of the season.

Transfer window closes end of Aug.

A few of the players were giving him a bog wash at the time.

Neil Warnock's comments on Sky Sports News were quite different. He was asked if he was resigned to losing Tarrabt to which he replied 'not at all' and currently he expects him back in training at the beginning of next week. He of course hinted that the club had not received an offer currently that met the owners valuation.

He also mentioned that he definitely expects 3-4 (he started off by saying 4-5) players in by the time we play Bolton and that it is not the 'end of the world' if they are not around for pre-season, if they improve the squad.

Judging by his comments don't expect any signings this week at least !

Started off with 4 or 5,then 3 or 4 halfway through and finished up with 1 or 2towards the end.All very frustrating. He was reading from Ecclestone's script and it looks very unlikely we'll get in any new players of any consequence given our transfer budget and wage cap.
