I knew I could rely on you to get to the bottom of it all Sir Pie - great research and interpretation of a very poorly written rule. I must confess I've made a bit too much fuss over this as I failed to fully understand the rule - slap wrists - top job,

I'm still struggling to understand the rule and the Football League have yet to announce what a possible punishment would be for not adhering to it. Financial fine? Points deduction?

Even if the first XI and the 3 subs we are intend to use don't meet the criteria we will have no problems selecting 4 who do. However what happens if Briatore doesn't understand the rule and hands Magilton a team sheet without 4 home grown players?
