Players you hated but then loved

I'm loving these over & under rated threads so here's another one. Any player you thought was a complete donkey that came good?

Easy one for me is Les....I nearly lost my voice screaming like a mentalist for him to "get back on f'ing side, you f'ing lay piece of sh@t!!!!!!"

Thought he was a waste of space at first!!!

Not me personally, but many hated Furs.

He is a legend in my view.
      Your mum would love me...

                        Brian Williams.

He was ****ing awful and remained ****ing awful but it was like smacking a kitten after a while. You just willed him to do well. In a miniature Brian Blessed sorta way.

So a bit like Ernie Howe, but in Ernies case I think the majority of us just wanted to smack him. (Mind you he kept half of the kids in West London in footballs!!!!)
