I rate Lita. Proberly the only one mind you
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes

Bet u would. Your thinking of the Upson 3-4 years ago. He wasn´t good then but much better than the Upson a la 2011.Originally posted by BennyBoyRs View PostOnce at Upton Park with my uncle, and also a few times on TV. Not that it would change my mind if i'd seen him 30 times. He is simply a better defender.

Would you need to see Lionel Messi live to realise he's the best player on the planet or is the coverage of football these days sufficient enough to see enough of players to make a fair assessment?Originally posted by swede View PostSame question to u: How many games last season did u see Matt U?
No he's no Rio or John Terry but as mentioned 362 times already is streets ahead of the 4 centre backs we currently employ.

My West Ham-supporting friends says the same and believe that he is one of the reasons WH next season will be a Championship team.Originally posted by The Godfather View PostI don't really rate Upson and neither do my West Ham-supporting friends - but he is a better option than what we've got (Gorkss, Hall, Ramage etc).

Ah, that's what it is...I'm glad you've cleared that up. What was I thinking? Yes - He's a terrible defender. Steer clear of him. Upson 3-4 years ago was amazing.Originally posted by swede View PostBet u would. Your thinking of the Upson 3-4 years ago. He wasn´t good then but much better than the Upson a la 2011.
Sorry about that mistake.
Exactly what I am trying to get accross. Although that contradicts my reply to Swede, I am sure the sarcasm was quite obvious there...Originally posted by The Godfather View PostI don't really rate Upson and neither do my West Ham-supporting friends - but he is a better option than what we've got (Gorkss, Hall, Ramage etc).Your mum would love me...

I don't know why I'm choosing to get involved but Emille Heskey played more time for England Jimmy Greaves and Geoff Hurst it doesn't make Heskey a better footballer.
If Gorkss was as good as you think then why hasn't he ever played for a Premiership club. Why hasn't he ever been linked with a team like Stoke or Wigan?

[QUOTE=swede;642520]Yes - That's exaclty right. I am in a position where I have exhausted my arguement and now have to conceed to your opinon as fact. I think we should now try to convince the world that Akos is also better than Jack Wilshire...2-3 years ago, of course.Originally posted by BennyBoyRs View PostAh, that's what it is...I'm glad you've cleared that up. No more ammo for your case?Your mum would love me...

Are you saying to be good, you need to have played or just be linked to a PL team? as until Blackpool played in the PL last season Adam, Vaughn and DJ were going nowhere fast but are now and even Ian Evatt done well and got noticed.Originally posted by sirpiechucker View PostIf Gorkss was as good as you think then why hasn't he ever played for a Premiership club.
