Redknapp has no regrets over Taarabt
Harry Redknapp believes that Adel Taarabt will “start with a bang” in the Premier League with QPR – but refutes suggestions that he should have kept the maverick Moroccan.

Taarabt, 22, was at Tottenham when Harry Redknapp arrived in October 2008, but made just three appearances as a substitute before being loaned to QPR in March 2009.

Having ended the season at Loftus Road, and returned to Rangers for the whole of the following campaign, Taarabt’s loan became permanent in a £1million move last summer.

This is why i laugh at suggestions, from the player himself, that Arsenal and Chelsea have spoken to him. I can see maybe a Newcastle taking a chance, but no way a top four club, its not his ability, its his lack of understanding that its a TEAM game.

Why would Harry regret it? Hardly better than Modric is he. As far a Harry probably sees it, he's more a nuisance than anything at a club like Spurs, it's not like he is at us where we NEED him to provide half of our goals.

Never seen Ronaldo ask to be subbed, never seen him throw his captains arm band down on the ground, or throw a wobbly at Ferguson if subbed. He realised that Man Utd was the cause not Ronaldo, Tarrabt is himself first second and third.Now im not saying this boy hasn't talent he has it in spades but he has to change his attitude to play for a top club in this country, i think his game is suited more to Italy's Serie A than anywhere else.

Redknapp has admitted before that Taarabt is the most skillful player he has had under him at any time. He also joked to Taarabt that he may cost him his job, so there is no hiding from the fact that he knows the lad is tallented, but he certainly wasn't wrong to get rid of him. Taarabt has taken the NPC by storm, but hasn't achieved the level of Moderic. Yes, Moderic has a few years on Taarabt, but that's besides the point.

If someone gave me the choice between Taarabt and Moderic, there would only be one winner right now, and it certainly isn't Adel.

Will Taarabt make it at the highest level? There is a great chance if he sorts his petulant attitude out. I feel he has the tools to go onto greater things that Moderic, but that's debateable as to whether Adel has the temperment allow his tallent to hit it's full potential.

The difference between Redknapp and Warnock's situation is that 'Arry didn't, and doesn't have the space to rely on one player. The level Spurs are at, they can't afford too many passengers. At Rangers, NW has the most tallented player in the division who can take the p**s. We won't have that sort of luxury in the Prem, as it'll start to cost us.

Ok I can hear the ( he scored and created lots of goals) but if you think we are going to get away with that in the prem you are in for a BIG surprise!

i think Adel knows he won't do it in the prem and is potentially thinking about joining a bigger team where the players will be able to hold the ball for him, give him through balls and generally be of a higher standard (no arguments i hope about Arsenal or Chelsea having better quality players than us!)
I think he knows full well that at QPR he's the targeted man and will no be able to pull off all his tricks.
As good as he his, i do think that his play doesn't start to work then he'll suggest aloud that he's too big for the club.
