I don't know why I am defending him at the moment but nevermind.

He wrote on this site that NW were about to sign, DJ Bullard Bothroyd etc.

That is believable rumours and it actually might be true.
Because theese players maybe were close to sign for us, but then the Mittal+arab bid came and NW were told that he were not allowed to sign any players before the takeover takes in place.

I don't know if any of this is true, it's just my thought.
