    Free Transfer List

    Woodgate/Upson/Garrido/Carew/Vaughan/Viera/McFadden/Koumas/Reo-Coker/Elmader/Cohen/Gera/Hargreaves/Gudjonnson/Faye

All of the above would walk into our side. Alright a couple are injury prone and getting on a bit but potentially some great signings.

I think Koumas, Carew, McFadden, Upson and Reo Coker would be the top 5 with injury prone Woodgate worth a go.

I know that none are Italian and involve a nice backhander for the boys at the top, but I think we could do a lot worse. I know wages are an issue but with no transfer fee you can still be quids in on 30,000 a week.

Koumas I would stay well clear of has done nothing since leaving Tanmere.

My gut says Gudjohnson would be a clever signing to make and think McFadden would be blinding too as would Reo-Coker.

I think our biggest strength last season, our defence, will be out biggest problem this season. You could argue we need an entirely new back four as currently it has no pace at all and will be cannon fodder

GOALS keep you up. We will need to score at least twice to win a game as I cannot see us keeping any clean sheets all season.

Agree defence needs to be strengthen, but if HH is our main striker then we are doomed.

We need to score one more goal than the other team to win

We had millions of clean sheets last season so I do not accept that we suddenly leak goals left, right and centre??? None of our opening opponents have a front line to brag about and I don't expect to see Paddy picking the ball out of our net until September at least. Fair do's we could do with a striker but I'm not having our defence unfairly criticised

come on pedal r, were playing in the prem next season we need a new back 4, or at lease two cb. the game is a lot faster in the prem mate and our back line is to slow

Pedal yes our defence was tight last season but stats do not always tell the true story. We gave loads of chances away, teams just never took them usually thanks to Paddy.

The prem is not only about being a good footballer but also pace and power and our back four, as with the rest of our team minus Wayne, does not have this and it will be our biggest downfall if its not addressed

. would have maybe been worth a punt in 2005 but now hes barely fit to be in a bottom half Championships starting 11 !

I know alot of peoplewill disagree with me on this but i personally think Conolly has alot of potential. If we signed a commanding leading CB to pair him with i think he would excel.

Yes, the likes of Torres, Rooney, Suarex etc will have a field day against our defence but we have to expect that in our first PL season, forget the top teams, we need to concentrate on the likes of Blackburn, Wolves and Norwich. And, IMHO, Steven N'Zonzo, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Steven Fletcher and Steve Morison arent really going to cause us too many problems.
