Good use of free transfers valuable to Premier League newcomersPatrick Vieira, Matthew Upson and Diomansy Kamara are players set to be out of contract

With over 100 players set to be out of contract this summer from the Premier League squads of last season, QPR, Norwich and Swansea could use this to their advantage to bring some more top-flight experience to their squads.

QPR look the best equipped after promotion with at least a handful of their squad having a solid amount of prior Premier League experience.

Meanwhile, QPR are also the best off financially of the threesome which will help when attracting new players to the club and the fact that they are based in London may entice some arrivals.

Some fairly big names are potentially going to be available on free transfers in the coming weeks and could certainly be valuable additions to the QPR squad.

Matthew Upson is one possible signing as his contract is about to expire at West Ham and bringing in a defender with an England cap under their belt in the past year could benefit the squad.

Other useful signings could include Fulham’s Zoltan Gera, who would join Adel Taraabt in providing some flair in the midfield, while Fulham teammate Diomansy Kamara may be a vital source of goals if he manages to stay fit.

If they really wanted to make a statement, QPR could splash their money about and sign the likes of Patrick Vieira, Owen Hargreaves, Jonathan Woodgate or John Carew if they could meet their wage demands.

The Premier League odds have QPR at 4/11 to stay up next season, while Norwich are 11/10 and Swansea are 5/4.

For Norwich and Swansea, they only have three or four players with a decent amount of Premier League experience between them and so both could benefit from bringing in a number of new faces.

Among the names that may appeal for both clubs on free transfers are Ricardo Gardner, Andy Reid, Steven Caldwell and Giles Barnes.

Viera would single handedly keep us up, but never in a year of sundays...

Woodgate would be tempting if he could prove his fitness.

      Top class CB.

Would really like Gera and for a miracle to happen in terms of keeping Hargreaves fit

Also seen that Spector has been released by West Ham? Wouldn't mind him.
