ALEJANDRO FAURLIN is ready to make a shock switch from Premier League new-boys QPR to Real Madrid.

Bernabeu chief Jose Mourinho has already inquired about the Argentine midfielder and looks set to follow up his interest with a bid for the playmaker.

QPR adviser and former Napoli coach Gianni Di Marzio confirmed: “Several clubs have asked about Faurlin. Even Real Madrid have been in touch.”

Faurlin, 24, was at the centre of a third-party ownership row which could have led to Rangers being deducted points – and the Championship title – last season.

The Loftus Road club were eventually found guilty of breaching FA regulations on two counts and fined £875,000 but were not docked any points and went up as champions last month. Faurlin snubbed offers from Spain, Italy and Greece to join Rangers for £3.5million in 2009.

One of the deals he rejected was from Inter Milan – who were managed by Mourinho at the time.

But the Special One has continued to keep an eye on Faurlin – and now wants to take him to the Bernabeu in a bid to win next season’s La Liga title.

Can't see Faurlin moving Xabi Alonso, Diarra, or Khedira who play in that role.

Hope he stays, will be one of our better players in the prem, space to spray the ball around.

Faurlin didn't go to Milan because he said he wanted to play rather than be a squad player.
Jose wanted him before but we got him instead.

If that deal happened mate, we could be on a mugging charge!!! Canales is probably worth 3 or 4 times what Faurlin is worth. Plus 10 million as well!!! If Madrid gave us that deal it would be the deal of all time.

If they are going to challenge Barca, they need a midfield just as good at keeping the ball. To be fair I've rarely seen Ali give the ball away so I can see why he'd want him.
