I think the problem with quotes is context. What was the previous question and what was the next question he was asked. Did he say QPR with a mocking tone or a genuinely could be interested tone? How good is his English? Could he have been misquoted?

Unless anyone has seen video footage and it's clear he would be using us then it's difficult to make a fair assessment of what he has said.
