yes and when we dont spend anymoney and we get relegated we lose th e"fans" who bought a ticket cos we were top and we go back to a 14k crowd in a 30k stadium which ends up being souless like half the grounds we have visited in th echampionship

I have been saying the same thing for years, Mittel is a parent like me, I would love to leave my children something like this, it will be worth a bundle in years to come, make the investment back ten fold.Originally posted by 2touch View PostBuy the BBC site. Build a hotel, offices, conference centre, flats etc... To make money from non matchday activities. Transport links are the due to Westfield, the face of the area has already changed due to this. You couldeven look at a casino possibly!
Finding a spare £200m? Go to the bank! I know banks are not keen on lending to football clubs these days, but there would be a lot more to the plan than football so they would look at it.
This would make us a viable long term proposition in terms of making a profit.
A huge project, but why not? Football doesn't make profit anymore but this sort of deal does!Kept the faith!

The list is endless.Originally posted by swanleyhoop View PostCan you even add teams like Donny and Colchester?
What a negative approach, how about saying the better facilities will attract more people which in turn will provide a better fanbase for our club.Originally posted by rangerforevereastcote View Postyes and when we dont spend anymoney and we get relegated we lose th e"fans" who bought a ticket cos we were top and we go back to a 14k crowd in a 30k stadium which ends up being souless like half the grounds we have visited in th echampionship
Pretty much ALL clubs have seen big growths in their fanbase upon moving to a new ground. Now, Then, Forever[CENTER]QPR-Football League CHAMPIONS

Precisely! We need our location to our advantage here as Arsenal have done in selling their old ground for expensive flats. Their borrowing will be clear in 5 years or so, they make a consistent profit and will be a force to be reckoned with in 10 years as Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool will have to face financial reality one day!Originally posted by californiahoop View PostI have been saying the same thing for years, Mittel is a parent like me, I would love to leave my children something like this, it will be worth a bundle on years to come, make the investment back ten fold.

Yep, the location is ideal, and if the BBC is available it's now or never, I would be surprise if an opportunity like this comes around again, it's a lot of land in the heart of London.Originally posted by 2touch View PostPrecisely! its all in the statement invest and make us a premier league club and we can sustain it, were not , talking about graham and cms will not keep us up, ref the negativity this board has been nothing but negative since about 3 days after our promotion, and for the record even though i think were going down and am disgusted with the price increases i still renewed this morning, cos after this lot gone the club will still be there and the 13-14k loyal fans will be aswel

Fulham had 3/4k loyal fans until they got promoted, Wigan the same, watch LR packed out now, even with the increase prices.Originally posted by rangerforevereastcote View Postyes your right seen big growth till things go wrong, im sure i dont need t tell you about all the half empty grounds we have visitied

california i have no doubt the ground wll fill out now, if we survive 2 seasons in the prem then we can talkabout new stadium, my concearn is that unless we spend big to stay in the league we wont survive trying to do it on the cheap, my point is if we dont were back to the 14k again, look ive renewed cos i know whilst im protesting some other fkr takes my seat , its been embaressing this season when we were tp from start and still cldnt fill the stadium till end of seasonOriginally posted by californiahoop View PostFulham had 3/4k loyal fans until they got promoted, Wigan the same, watch LR packed out now, even with the increase prices.
as for fulham your right but they dont sell out often and can assure you if they ever fell out the league their fanbase would half fk me theyve not sold out may games apart frim the biggies this last few seasons hence their ned for a neutral part of ground
nothing would be better then a 30k stadium filled to the rafters every week holding own in the pl just cant see it after the last couple of weeks

i dont know where the figure of £200m came from,Brightons new ground cost £105m,with the land.i realise that London land prices are higher
s for playing in a half empty stadium,if we got relegated, you have to look at the likes of Charlton and Reading to see that the attendances don't always drop off drastically when relegation happens
30k might be a bit too high initially,so perhaps a 25k stadium with the ability to increase, like Reading and Brighton have done(both new stadiums have been built in such a way that they could be easily enlarged)
if you have a good working relationship with the local council then that helps
and what about the old dairy site(top of wood lane),that is still an option
